    (1) The load of the gear is the main basis for choosing lubricating oil.For light-loaded gears, oils without additives can be used.For larger loads and larger sliding, such as worms, oils containing oily additives can be used.For heavy-load surfaces with strong impacts, such as hyperbolic gears, rolling mill gear seats, gear oil should be considered;

    (2) The speed of the gear is the main basis for choosing the viscosity of the lubricating oil.Use low-viscosity oil for high speed, and high-viscosity oil for low speed;

    (3) The lubrication method is the reference condition for oil selection.Circulating lubrication should require the oil to have good fluidity, and should not choose cylinder oil containing more colloidal asphalt.Cylinder oil can be used for oil bath lubrication.

    (4) The object of the lubrication system should also be considered.When the gear and other parts share a lubrication system, it is necessary to consider whether the sliding bearing has special requirements for oil quality. If the gear requires lubricating oil to contain anti-wear additives, and the bearing alloy contains silver, cadmium, etc., it should be selected. Silver and wear-resistant oil.If the bearing accuracy is high and the clearance is small, the viscosity of the lubricating oil cannot be large and low-viscosity oils. Only low-viscosity anti-wear oils can be used to solve the gear lubrication problem with the help of anti-wear additives.
