The rigid coupling is a torsionally rigid coupling that does not have any turning clearance even when subjected to a load. If there is any deviation in the system, it will cause premature damage to the shaft, bearing or coupling, which means that it cannot be used in high-speed environments because it cannot compensate for the relative displacement between the shafts due to the high temperature generated by high-speed operation. Of course, if the relative displacement can be successfully controlled, the rigid coupling can also perform very well in servo system applications. In particular, the small-sized rigid coupling has the advantages of light weight, ultra-low inertia and high sensitivity, and in practical applications, the rigid coupling has the advantages of maintenance-free, superior oil resistance and corrosion resistance.
Although rigid couplings have been used in servo transmissions in the past, recently, due to their high torque bearing capacity, rigidity and zero clearance performance, small-sized aluminum alloy rigid couplings are increasingly used in the field of motion control.
TS7Z series precision lock is suitable for the joint between long shafts and hubs and can transmit bigger torque.They can replace couplings in some mechanical transmission if the shaft diameter and precision are the same.
The working principle of TS7Z is as following:under the pressure of tightening bolts,two tightening rings with inner taper surface press the inner ting with outer taper surface and then make it contract to tighten the hubs and shafts.The emerged radial pressure and friction force make the hubs and shafts join together.
